Get up to speed quickly with Rovo
Rovo summarizes pages, comments, descriptions, and Smart Links, highlighting key points and action items so you can get up to speed quickly. These summaries make relevant information easy to access, helping teams decide faster and collaborate better.
👉 For example: Rohan isn’t sure if a page has the information he needs, but he doesn’t want to read the entire page to find out, as it is too long. He asks Rovo to summarize the page, which answers his question. Rohan can read the full page if he needs more detail.

Summarize a page or blog in Confluence
Rovo summarizes information on any page or blog in Confluence, saving you time reading long pages.
To summarize a page or blog:
- Select Ask Rovo in the app’s top-right navigation bar.
- Select Show more, then select Summarize page.

Rovo's Summarize changes feature provides a summary of updates made to a Confluence page since your last visit. This helps you stay informed about recent changes and quickly catch up on what’s new.
With Summarize changes, you can:
✔ Summarize edits: Review a summary of the major edits made to the page since your last visit to ensure you don’t miss any important updates.
✔ Track changes: Understand when the edits occurred and who made them, providing a clear timeline of the workstream.
✔ Save time and effort: Provides a quick way to stay up-to-date on all the pages you care about and collaborate on daily.
To access the Summarize changes feature:
- Select Ask Rovo in the app’s top-right navigation bar.
- Select Show more, then select Summarize changes.
For all the summarization features, they will not work if there is insufficient content or when the content could potentially violate Atlassian’s Acceptable Use Policy.
Audio briefings for pages or blogs in Confluence
Rovo can create an audio briefing for any Confluence page or blog, so you can listen instead of read and quickly decide if the content is relevant. It acts like your own personal work podcast, you just need to press play.
To listen to a briefing:
- Navigate to the top of your page and select Listen underneath the page title.
- To listen to the full page word-for-word, select Switch to Narration.
- To customize your experience, select More actions (represented by ···) then Customize. You can change the tone and adjust how long the overview is.

When you select Switch to Narration, it lets you listen to the full page, word-for-word, instead of just a summary.
Summarize comments in Jira
Rovo can summarize Jira comments to give concise overviews of long comment threads on a ticket. Instead of reading every comment, you can use Rovo to generate a summary that shows which comments or details need a response.
Summarize comments shows a work item's comment history and description, highlights key context, records decisions and pending actions, and condenses discussions into a brief summary.
Summarize comments:
✔ Help decrease the mental load on users or agents.
✔ Improve work item resolution efficiency to increase customer satisfaction.
To summarize comments on a Jira work item:
- In the Activity section of the work item, select Comments.
- Select Summarize comments.
The generated summary is visible only to you and disappears when you navigate away from the work item. You can summarize a work item’s comments as many times as you like.
